How to moderate comments was created by Inigo
Hello everyone,

Does anyone know how to configure the comments section of K2 so that the site administrator receives a notification email every time a new comment is posted?

I have comment auto-publishing set to no, but I am not receiving notification emails when a new comment is posted, so I have to look it up in the comments section of K2, which makes this task slow.

Thankyou for your time.

By default, there is no email notification. But if you search the K2 Extensions Directory (getk2.org/extend) you'll find a few plugins to add this functionality to your site.

I found 3 that could do the job, but sadly all are paid extensions. This function is so obvious that I am surprised it is not included in the k2´s native comments preference. Thank you anyway for your time.

We kept things basic to be honest.

As an alternative, you can swap K2's comments system with another commenting extension in Joomla or even Disqus/Facebook Comments.
