Knoxtt created the topic: My Page link in the menu bar
I've seen many posts in this forum associated with this topic and questions close to it but yet to find one that has a solution exactly for what I want. I want to create a menu item that will take the logged in user straight to their published content. Solutions I've seen thus far recommended the 'K2 User' module either in some part of the template or as the 'Login' module itself. But I don't want an entire module, I just want that 'My page' link from the 'user module' as a link in the menu bar. That's it. How do I do that?

Tricky question...

The "my page" URL is dynamic because it uses the user's ID and username. Your best bet is to use SocialConnect to easily create a "user dashboard" as we do here on joomlaworks.net and in there load the K2 user links that include the K2 user page as well. SocialConnect really is a better component to handle user logins, it's not just for social logins as many believe (perhaps we haven't communicated that feature as much as we should have)...

If you use & love K2, please take a moment to add your review and rate it
at the Joomla Extensions Directory: extensions.joomla.org/extension/k2/
