Working with K2 was created by Sean Brady
I have installed the content creation kit (CCK) K2, but I have not used the 'import Joomla content' button yet.

I know that once the articles within Joomla are imported, they are then present within K2; I also know that the articles are simply copied to K2 and that they remain within the built-in Joomla article management system.

However, I wish to know if can remove the articles from within the built-in Joomla article management system since I now have all my articles (as items) within K2?

I assume that there is no point in having the same content within the site as both an 'article' and an 'item'?

Yes, of course you can delete the articles in com_content.
