Content Image gets very large was created by Roland
Hello,
I found out, that the content header image is created inside the k2 cache image folder with several sizes. That´s basically a nice idea.

But most of my images I already optimized with gimp and trimage gets a bigger file size as the original.

Current example:
JPG - 1200x921 is optimized on 323kB.
K2 makes a file (100% quality in K2 settings)
JPG - 900x691 and and 535kB.

I don´t understand, the image pixel are smaller but the filesize extremly higher?
How I can prevent this?

Using Joomla 3.9.13 with K2 v2.10.0 [Dev Build 20190915]

Use a lower quality percentage, e.g. 90 or even 80 %.

PHP's GD library is not as accurate as specialized programs like GIMP are.

Or, if you have full access to your server and know a couple things about using the terminal, you could install "jpegoptim" and run it through the K2 images folder in /media/k2/items/ which will produce results better than GIMP's compression.
