Backend/Admin template override was created by Geraldo de Oliveira
Hi everyone,
Hope everything is fine :)

So, i was trying to override the admin/backend K2's template but it doesn't work.

More information: I've copied the default Joomla's admin template and created a new one.
I've copied the /administrator/components/com_k2/views/ content into /html/com_k2/ new template's folder.

When I edit the /items/default.php file at the backend nothing happens.
Already tried to empty the cache, setting the new template as default, checking the super user template option.

The curious thing is that all other templates, such as category, item, etc works. For example, if I edit /categories/default.php file, I'll see the results in backend.

Even If it edit the /administrator/components/com_k2/views/items/tmpl/default.php core file under nothing happens.
Where the heck that items template is? :)

Thanks a lot,
Best regards and have a nice weekend!

That's not possible :)

Triple check paths and files.

If you edit the core file and nothing changes it means your override works. You must just NOT see what you edit for some reason...

:D

I've figured that out.
In this installation I'm using Multiple Categories from Web357 plugin. And it adds the multiple categories in the items layout so the override doesn't work because of the override from the plugin, locate at ~/plugins/system/k2multiplecategories/overrides/admin/components/com_k2/views/items/k2multiplecategories.php

I'll try to contact the developer.

Thanks again Fotis!

In any case, I would advise not to modify the backend, even by editing override files.
