Disable Author Pages was created by George Nasis
Hallo,

I am pretty sure that I have disabled the author pages from the settings. However, I noticed a link like this that is online and accesisble (even for unregistered users).

www.example.gr/index.php/author/1225-usernameofuser

How can I deactivate this?

Also, I have configured rules in htaccess for every link to remove index.php.

So, this is a mystery how the above link is active.

Thank you very much and wish you a happy new year :)

For unregistered users? How can that even be possible?

Do you mean for users with no K2 items?

Hallo Fotis,

yes I know it is strange. Anyone (guest) can see the author page of a registered user

www.proteino.gr/index.php/author/1225-alkiviadisskoulas

How can I prevent this?

Thank you

This is normal and expected behaviour. If you don't user pages to be indexed, disable them for users with no K2 content. There's an option for that in the K2 Settings (under the Site tab).

If you mean "Enable K2 user profile" , I have already disabled it.

And what about users with items?

Is there any way to avoid indexing?

Maybe a rule at htaccess for */author path?

The most elegant (and portable) option involving a simple template override is this: www.joomlaworks.net/forum/k2-en/56259-noindex-page-result#177739
