Fatal error | Joomla 3.4.0

Category: English K2 Community

Hi,

I use K2 on a fresh Joomla 3.4.0 installation. Each time I try to access a blog entry, I do get an empty page displayed (no errors show). Turning on Joomla error reporting to maximum, I do get:

---
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare treerecurse() (previously declared in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/mysite.com/templates/envor/html/mod_k2_tools/categories.php:15) in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/mysite.com/templates/envor/html/mod_k2_tools/categories.php on line 133
---

System information
Joomla! 3.4.0 Stable [ Ember ]
K2 v2.6.9
PHP Version 5.6.2
Joomla Platform 13.1.0 Stable [ Curiosity ]

Anyone an idea what the issue might be?

Many thanks

Problems with field validation

Category: English K2 Community

Dear Lefteris,

Many thanks for your reply.

So, data fields aren't type-validated? As invalid data throws a fatal error, I've gotten around this by making the fields read only, relying on the calendar javascript. Just in case anyone else is looking for a semi-solution!

I have changed formats and modify presentation of (for example) the field labels. I achieved this by making a custom template for K2 and selecting it as the layout for the category.

For example, if you go to:
chl.soc.srcf.net/quid/completed-projects/item/edit/15?tmpl=component
having logged in as testymctest, pass = test, and change between Ongoing and Completed categories (NB I've renamed the category field as Project Status, it's under the Title field) - you will see that I lose my label formatting.

Thanks again for your help - I really do appreciate this!

This script needs to be put directly in the .php file. You can not insert it from an editor.

The error is not coming from K2.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function process() in /home/accoolrn/public_html/tmp/htmlCdZp3b on line 1

This is caused by another extension or there are files left from previous installations. Try clearing your temp folder and try again.

Trying K2 Chrono Integration

Category: English K2 Community

I'm looking to have a user form on my website which will directly submit printable items to my website. Ideally it would be hidden and then I can review the info and choose to publish it. So I googled it and found this link.

www.joomreem.com/joomla-developer-s-tips-and-tricks/item/55-k2-integration-with-chronoforms.html#.VNvfZubF-So

Now I am not a programmer but I can edit and tinker, and so I tried this.

I did the k2 templating which seemed alright. I put the display code in a flexi code module and got a fatal error on line 1.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function process() in /home/accoolrn/public_html/tmp/htmlCdZp3b on line 1

I tried putting the php script directly in a k2 item and it showed nothing and seems to just delete the script then i toggle the editor

I believe i have templated and placed the scripts accurately, I see the article mentions older versions of joomla. I am operating on the most current joomla and k2...

Anyone have any insight or help? really looking for an easy way to get user data to be presentable or close to and i'm open to other options.

Two K2 Image Gallery Plugins

Category: English K2 Community

I currently have the Inceptive Image Gallery for K2 plugin installed. I have recently tried to install the Bitsgeo Folk Gallery. Both are K2 specific plugins and both are both accessed via the Image Gallery Tab in K2.

After installed the Bitsgeo Folk Gallery, I am receiving the following error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class K2ImageGalleryHelper in /home/content/39/8276939/html/plugins/k2/incptvk2imagegallery/incptvk2imagegallery/includes/helper.php on line 13

Is there a conflict when using two K2 gallery plugins? Can I only use one image gallery plugin at a time?

"Fatal error: Call to a member function getItemTags() on a non-object in (Nombre sitio)\modules\mod_k2_content\helper.php on line 356".

Sustituir:
$model = K2Model::getInstance('Item', 'K2Model');"
Por:
JLoader::import( 'components.com_k2.models.item', JPATH_SITE );
$model = K2Model::getInstance('Item', 'K2Model');

Gracias y saludos.

unable to edit items in K2

Category: English K2 Community

I am working on a site for personal use. I have worked with Joomla templates before but have never worked with K2.

With the template, I have preloaded content. When I try to click on an item within the administration panel (under K2 component) to edit it, I receive this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::onDisplay() in /homepages/25/d558836088/htdocs/libraries/joomla/html/editor.php on line 459

I get the same error every time I try to edit an item. Also - when i click on K2 under components, I do not see "dashboard" on K2 admin page....only "items, categories, etc." Is this a problem as well?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. Like I said, I only mess around with websites for personal use. Please help if you can!

K2 2.6.9 not working at all with Joomla 3.3.6

Category: English K2 Community

I used Wordpress for quite a while for it's versatility and lightness compared to Joomla.

Seen some cool Joomla templates and thought I should give them a spin on Joomla 3.3.6 + K2 to see how things work and decide if I can handle this combo to make a news-blog website.

After I uploaded and activated K2 I got this error
Warning: require_once(/home3/cartonic/public_html/test/administrator/modules/mod_k2_statsDShelper.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home3/cartonic/public_html/test/administrator/modules/mod_k2_stats/mod_k2_stats.php on line 29

my admin panel looks bad, with no styling at all.

L.E The errors occur only when Isis theme is activated. With Hathor there's apparently no problem but I don't quite like the ancient design.

And when I try to open any K2 section( categories, tags ...etc) I get this error:
Fatal error: Class 'K2HelperPermissions' not found in /home3/cartonic/public_html/test/administrator/components/com_k2/k2.php on line 39
