Hi... I updated my K2 yesterday from 2.5.7 to 2.6.1. The update was successful and the administrator and menu configuration works better than ever...

But I notice something strange in my site... the customs modules that I created with JavaScript Mootools code (some animated menus) are not worling anymore....

Also my ROTATOR based in mootools (Roksprocket) are not working any more.

That is very strange, and this problem occurs just after the upgrade!

I supose that it's related to the jquery or jqueryui library... I can't imagine something else.

Someone know something? Regards!

Joomla!/K2 version? K2 2.6 does not support Joomla! 1.6/1.7.

Running Joomla 2.5.7 and K2 2.6.1, problem link option in extra fields not working.

When Item is saved it automatically inserts "A" in Link description, "r' in URL and changes to open in same
window. never mind what you put in the fields. What is more concerning if articles with extra fields are re-saved (edited/saved) it will change extra link to those "default" values from above, never mind that extra filed was not edited (changed image or text in main part of the item). Seems like a loose default value somewhere....

Had to reverted back to K2 2.5.7 because website has extra fields (link type) on all pages.

Hope it gets fixed soon, till then no upgrade.

Thank Santos for your suggestions.

I have checked K2 parameter many times but I actually don't know what to change. Please guide me more.

And if I upgrade to joomla 2.5, there are any problem which may occur? Please say me more because I am not a technical guy and I have been crazy with this image error for many days.

As tweeted today, there will be a 2.6.1 version which is already in the svn that fixes many of the issues, keep watch on the site or test the svn

Hi William,

Thank you for your help but I don't think that can be the issue. I have a 'base' template that I start all of my web designs with. I am also a reseller of hosting so I create the hosting accounts for my clients.

I have 4 sites which I have upgraded to the latest version of K2.

One site is okay with no issues

Second site gave me this warning: Model class cpanelModelCpanel not found in file.

And the third and fourth site had the issues mentioned in my first post. I have never had any of these issues using previous versions of K2 or for any other Joomla installation - this is why I know it has something to do with the latest version of installing K2. That is the only component which is different to all of the other sites I create.

In addition to the above issues I am now also getting problems using the media manager:

Invlaid backend response.
Data is not JSON

I love K2 and wish it was part of Joomla because that's how I think Joomla should roll. But for the moment I will stick with the previous version of K2 until some of these little bugs have been fixed. Thank you for your help.

Hello,

I have recently upgraded my K2 to the latest version using Joomla 2.5.7 However, getting the following error message in the 'Control Panel': Model class cpanelModelCpanel not found in file

The upgrade didn't seem to install correctly the first time, e.g. it did not display the K2 Quick Icons - so, as I don't have a lot of content I decided to uninstall and try again. This time it installed with the K2 Quick Icon page correctly, but with the above error message.

Also, my site displays the following error message since the upgrade: K2 is not installed! Error! Unable to retrieve any Images!

What's going on? Can someone please help?

Edit: Ok, I'll compile 2.6.0 erros so far:

1)
Fatal error: Call to a member function getSearchValue() on a non-object in /home/l ... /public_html/administrator/components/com_k2/models/item.php on line 721

I get this error every time I try to edit an article (when saving it). It's very frustrating...

2) Extra-fields are not showing when the Category is selected.Only when the article is saved, but as stated, then you can't edit it anymore.

3) Cpanel.php problems (error on backend, can't change order ir the file is deleted): See post

4) Facebook problems. See post

I would say everyone to DO NOT UPGRADE YET! It was a lot of issues.

PS: I had to create a new account because I wasn't able to post here with the old one, it always said:

-post-: Category has been locked.

Yeap, it's obvious these 2 accounts don't have the same permissions. But since there was indeed a bug in K2 v2.5.7 which we fixed in the just released v2.6, upgrade and let us know. Use the Joomla updater to grab v2.6 of K2...

If it doesn't solve your issue, then this extra user account you made has indeed restricted permissions.

Joomla 1.5.26
K2 2.6.0

1) When I go to the K2 items list, my Joomla menu isn't accessible anymore.

2) The K2 tabs are not functioning anymore. Everything is shown is a long list. This is with item-editing (content, image, gallery, media etc on one page) and also with the K2 parameters.

3) When I go to the K2 parameters I can't leave it. Clicking save or cancel, the K2 parameters screen doesn't leave and I can't return to the Joomla backend.

I emailed the developer and in an hour or so he had it fixed.

All of my K2 item pages are displaying correctly.

Now the Save buttons work, but after I click save I get a blank white page. The Source code is showing this, it is like it just stops loading the code:

I have installed K2 again and then again, and it finally seems to have worked!

At least the navigation (menu) works again... phew!

Now I have to find a solution for the template... that really is a mess.
Think I need to find myself a new template.
