I suggest creating a dev site and using an extension like AdminTools to upgrade to Joomla! 3.1.x

If all your components are Joomla! 3 compatible you won't have any issues.

I also have the same error on a Joomla 2.5.11 site. A Joomla 3.1.5 site following the K2 upgrade worked fine.
On the 2.5.11 site I re-installed K2 in the Extension Manager but still have the error.

Thanks again for the response, however, it is worth noting that I only installed akeeba after reinstalling k2 v2.6.7 and realising that this problem was going to require trial and error to solve hence the need for a backup.

Also it is worth noting again that someone else posted the almost the exact same issue I am facing on a separate thread but there is no solution there

Hi all,
I have problem with k2 url section.
I am using k2 v2.4.1 version.
When i added items into k2 and i added link to this items to my menu.
Whenever clicking on menu, Joomla sef URL will be displayed on website command bar in browser.
I want to remove item and Item Id in URL. and it needs to identification of items should displays only alias name only...
But it has one solution upgrade to k2 but i created complex code for k2 it is not possible to upgrade.
My link look like this
example.com/category/item/3689-sample-content-example
I want this link into like this
example.com/category/sample-content-example
It should not give any errors like 404 error.....
I tried so much Please give suggestions or solution for this

The correct template override to put k2.css is templates/yourtemplate/css/k2.css

You can then change the css properties for K2 and it will not be overwritten when you upgrade k2 to a newer version.

Just a quick one to see if anyone else has seen this.

I've upgraded a site from Joomla 2.5 to Joomla 3.1 and all went well. K2 was one of the better components from an upgrade point of view. Everything is working fine, but I do have one issue though. When you log into administrator, you can use all parts of K2, except the "Extra Fields" and "Extra Field Groups" screens. On these two admin screens, you just get...

First though was that it'd be some files that had corupted on upload, so I uploaded them again, and that didn't fix it.

Some more or less popular components that worked in Joomla 3.1.1 may give a HTTP 500 Internal Server Error on front-end after update process to version 3.1.4. If you have this problem you should install this hotfix – just as you would a normal extension by Extension Manager.

This bug will be fixed in next J!3.1.5. For any other extension related issues, please contact the extension developer for details information.

Ok, I can guide you.

You need to backup and setup a dev site. Then upgrade to K2 v.2.6.7

Head on to your template's /html folder and locate register.php and profile.php. Replace these files with the files from the new installation.
Use the same method for mod_k2_user.

If all went well you might need to hire a developer to upgrade just your slider or use develop a new one (1 - hrs of work for an experienced developer). It might not need upgrading at all.

Have you tried reinstalling K2? Also is your error reporing set to maximum or development?

It is enabled and only white screen displays. No any errors there. I using joomla 3.1.1 and K2 2.6.7

This is a notice not an actual error. You have to enable error reporting (the setting is located in Gloab Configuration) to see the actual error.

Also which version of Joomla! and K2 are you using?

Your module still dont support k2 2.6.X versions? Im using it for 2.5.7, works great. But now I need to upgrade k2 for 2.6.X.

Last time we spoke via email we've found that your module dont work properly with 2.6.x

I upgrade joomla and k2 to newest version and after this site was "down" (white screen). Log file report an error:

PHP Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in /var/www/vhosts/festivalfilms.ru/htdocs/components/com_k2/router.php on line 204

From what I can see you are using an outdated version of K2 (2.5.7).

The current version is 2.6.7 I strongly suggest you upgrade to the latest version.
You might need to adjust your template overrides a bit though. (Surely register and profile.php and the mod_k2_user files)

I have checked multiple sites and they all the feeds work fine.

As for Feedblitz I have'nt used that service, We (and I personally) use Feedburner so I cannot provide you proper feedback.

Please upgrade to 2.6.7 and let me know if you are still facing issues like that.

I am sorry to bear you with bad news but you are using a very old version.
You can use an SEO extension to eliminate all the double content generated from Joomla!'s router but you have to look for one that is compatible with that version of K2.

If you upgrade your K2 installation you can also use K2's advanced SEF features.
