It could be done via an override.
Take a look at this: github.com/kricore/Advanced-templating-with-K2/blob/master/_inc/cheatsheet.php#L27-L36

You can check if the $option is indeed com_k2 and the $view is a tag view.
In the override, based on that check you can leave out the last segment in that view.

Hello,

This is K2's default behaviour. You can override the mod_k2_tools module (breadcrumb.php) but it will strip the last segment of the breadcrumbs for all of K2 (items, categories etc)

Hi there,

When I am using the k2 tools module to show breadcrumbs in menu item type "tag" I get an added item in the breadcrumbs.
instead of showing: Home > Tags
I shows: Home > Tags > [tag name]

How can I fix this?

Hello Kasper,

If you enable these characters you would probably 'break' certain URLs.
You can see all the character replacements (you can backup and change them) in K2's advanced parameters.

AllVideos is a content plugin. You need to place the tag in a context where content plugins are supported ( an article, a K2 item or a module for example ) .

So clarify where exactly are you using that code so we can help you both.

I've got a problem with some characters not being showed correctly in my tags.
As an example, there is a word in danish called "Køler", but the tag for it shows "Koler".

This also relates to other words with these characters in them: Æ, Ø and Å.

How do i get the tags to show the correct characters?

Hello Maria,

You can use a category override to display a PDF link for each item. You would need to add an extra field to store each respective PDF URL.

Here is a previous post that provides on the code to needed to display extra fields on category and tag pages:

Hi all! I have a little problem with K2 tags in my website with Joomla 3.4.5 , I´ll try to explain:

I have spanish and english, and when below the article people click in an english tag, always the meta desc its in spanish, I would like Joomla to get meta desc of the K2 article in english, not the spanish one, I send you a sample:

www.eventosbarcelona.cat/en/dance/book-hire-flamenco-shows-dancers-barcelona/tag/flamenco%20dancers

The tag its in english, but meta desc its in spanish, and Its showing the same as the home in spanish...

Is there anyway that joomla gets for tags the meta desc of k2 article?

Make sure that the output of the module is not cached in the module's settings.
Furthermore make sure that if Joomla!'s cache plugin (or a 3rd party cache extension's plugin) is enabled is located at the bottom of the plugins list.

It could be related to two factors: a) Your template stripping HTML tags, your editor's settings. These settings will override K2's settings.

Hi folks...

I have something stranged with the tag cloud..
www.vinosanti.be/index.php?option=com_k2&view=itemlist&task=tag&tag=HOUTRIJPING&Itemid=729

The link is one tag I clicked from the tag cloud. I get all the items that have that tag assigned. When I click on another tag.. i keeps me showing the first tag I cliced. I have already disabled any SEF for the K2. The strange thing is that the itemid remains the same.

Has someone any ideas on this one?

Create a menu item towards K2 Categories and leave the category selection empty. All the orphan users and tags will be rendered through that menu.

I think I need your help.
We try to integrate the code from @Lipatov but this don't work. We replace the code in our item (ourtemplate/html/com_k2/default). This don't work. I was looking for a file with this new code on github (github.com/joomlaworks/k2) but nothing.

Make sure that you are using K2's and Joomla!'s latest version.
Also this could be a JS issue.
Can you check your console tab of your browser's developer tools for any potential issues?

hello,
i have a problem with K2 and sh404SEF. both are creating OG tags, and that's messing up the visibility on FB shares...


i use sh404SEF "Social SEO" capabilities to set the correct OG tags on each page of the site.

BUT - K2 is also generating OG tags of it's own.
this creates a problem.

how can i turn of the OG tags printed by K2?

i couldn't find this configuration anywhere. has anyone encountered this problem before?

I have a problem that might be complicated by the fact that we are not using K2 for users management.

Basically I have a user who I have given administrator and publisher settings to but that person still can't do a couple K2 tasks that I need them to be able to do. First, the user is NOT able to change the "Author" of a K2 item. I wanted this user to change the Author to another account which is a super user. Maybe that is not a great idea? But, is that also not possible? I also wanted this new user to be able to create tags. Can you point me to the place where I might be able to get more granular control? I have not created a K2 User Group because I am using EasySocial for the login management of this site.

Also, I did create a K2 user group in which I intended to really open up the K2 permissions but I believe that all of my users where they automatically put into that user group. so, I deleted that user group.

Any ideas to point me in the right direction will be appreciated. :-)
Basically this person is supposed to be a publisher but I want them to be able to change the author and add tags.
