I just tested your solution, but when I change that code

in article list the title and article details (date, author, ...) are not displaied, and in the article full view the entire article (title , details, content)
is not displaied

I don't see any errors due to allvideos plugin though

Hello Joomlaworks Community and K2 Developers,

I noticed that neither the Rating (stars) nore Read More (text) are displaying in Tag View. I have tried inheriting all parameters from a parent category, adjusting the category parameters, and also individual item options.

Can anyone give me information about this and/or help me to display these items?

This is not possible with the default K2 Tags module.
You could use a menu to point towards tags. The menu item allows you to control which categories are being used for the displayed items.

Hello,

You can disable the tag's feeds from K2's settings.
The setting is located under the "Layout & view options for tag listings" section.

Hi Krikor,

thank you for reply - i will try to explain again:

i set up the module and select some categories - as i see it show than the TAGS from Items that are related to chooses Cats - if i then click on one TAG
all Items that have this tag are shown - i need that it only displays these items which are in the Cats that i have choosen in the module setup.

an example:

setting up an restaurant guide - in the tags you set all kind of food that is served there - now you set up different regions - if someone is in europe in the module the tags of Restaurants ( = ITEMS ) in europe ( = CATEGORY ) are shown ( choodes CAT = Europe )

you also have a region USA ( = CATEGORY ) -

now the visitor of Europe clicks on TAG an also restaurants in the USA are Shown .... and thats what i don't want - only items in the Europe Category should be shown.

maybe you can follow me now :-)

Hello Robin,

The module displays tags from categories, not items from categories.
This means that when you go to the actual listing there is no filter.

Hello Everyone - at first: sorry if my english is not perfegt but i think i think that here are more people that could help me than in german community.

I have the following problem:

I use the K2 Tools Module to dispaly a Tag Cloud - now i set a filter to get TAGS only from choosen category(s) - but the result list shows Items from all categories ( if they have the tag ) - i want only to display that items which are only in the categories the TAGS are taken off.

How can i do that ?

I double checked my settings. k2 is not supposed to cleanup the html in the intro text or full text. Screenshot shows this. imgur.com/8yh0UgI

I think this MUST be a bug. It is stripping h2 tags from the intro text view. Please help.

I would like to customise the position of various extra fields in a tag listing, by echoing them in tag.php.

I have tried:

<?php echo $this->extraFields->IntroText->value ?>

and

<?php echo $this->item->extraFields->IntroText->value ?>

These methods are working fine in K2 category listsings, and K2 content module respectively. The extra fields display fine when using the standard code in tag.php:

Hi Krikor, do you mind if I ask a couple of questions?

1) Selection based tagging and locking tags
I can see I could lock the ability to create tags via ACL, but I can't see the option for selection based tagging - will this be back?

2) In the 2.X version you can modify the form action of mod_k2_tools search.php to specify the itemID to be used for search results - I know this would fall under your frontend templates, but I was wondering if you've had a chance to look at making this work already?

Yes this is a dev site as described in OP.

After investigating line 32 in plugins/system/k2/k2.php, i can see it references:

require_once JPATH_ADMINISTRATOR.'/components/com_k2/classes/plugin.php';

no.1 - The 'classes' folder doesnt even exist

no.2 - Therefore the plugin.php file in said directory doesnt exist

Also, the file where the error shows, is vastly different from the K2 v2.6.9 and the K2 2.7.0 dev, additioanlly it references files and folders that dont exist. Quite confused as how such a thing can occur???

Starting on line 35, it references:

require_once JPATH_ADMINISTRATOR.'/components/com_k2/resources/categories.php';

And the folder 'resources' doesnt exist....Why reference so many files in a folder that doesnt exist??? What should the folder be referencing??? Since this k2.php file is so different from other versions of K2, i can't figure out what should be referenced??

Completly agree. The attitute that Joomlawrks has to their K2 community is simply not good, given all the delays and excuses...then so call 'private beta'.

Given that Krikor said 'You can experiment with the v3.0 version, but the 'Frontend is not ready yet''...i think this says it all. How can a project that was suppose to be 'close' to being ready 1 year ago still not have parts not finished? K2 v3 should be at the stage where small bugs and visual displays are being tidied up, not with aspects still not finished.

Also, as a business, I dont understand (given all the delays and negativity that Joomlaworks has brought upon themselves)..why they would commit to releasing more than 1 'thing' at the same time. Focus on one thing and do it well. Trying to release k2 v3, a new K2 website, new forums, etc, etc. This spells disaster, especially for a company that has shown they can't keep their deadlines.

Lets hope V3 is what Joomlaworks said it was gonna be, and lets also hope its not full of bugs....as if its full of bugs given all the delays......it'll be worse than Windows Vista!
