and article with that tag 4000+.

It is one way for good url in tag?

The bad URL example you sent me is a result of that tag not belonging to a menu item.
Did you try my solution?

Create a menu link to K2 categories and don't select any category. This way, all unresolved links will be assigned to this menu, preventing duplicates.

In admin K2 i can create new extrafield with dropdown option value as text ONLY.
I try to input as A HTML tag, but it save only text.

Can i create extrafield with html value?

P.S. I published each K2 article with 10 lines of extrafield options.
I want to make some extrafield value as url (from menuitem). But i can not do it.

Hello Igor,

The tags will use the current menu item as their base if they do not belong to a menu item.
You can solve this by creating a K2 menu item pointing to all categories bellow all other menu items.

This way all orphan tags will be rendered from that menu item.

I create for each category menu item.
I create for each tag menu item.

But i see different

category URL OK as menu alias
tag url NOT NOT OK as menu (only as ...../my-category-alias/my-subcategory-alias/itemlist/tag/cyrillic text with spaces)
And mod_k2_Tools not used menu alias for tag too.

What i must do for used menui tem as tag in url of k2 links?

Both single K2 Tags and K2 Categories can be mapped in a menu time.

Ho appena migrato un vecchio sito al nuovo sito costruito con Joomla 3.3.6 e K2 2.6.8.

Ho fatto i redirect 301 su apache delle url scadute alle nuove pagine, e sembrano funzionare tutti tranne quelli che hanno caratteri speciali, in particolare il ? (punto interrogativo).

Queste url vengono reindirizzate su articoli di K2 che hanno un percorso tutto sbagliato. Faccio un esempio:

Ho settato il redirect di questa url a quest’altra:

www.aimac.it/indirizzi-utili-tumore/strutture-cura-oncologiche

invece la prima url viene reindirizzata su tutt'altra pagina che dovrebbe peraltro trovarsi ad un altro indirizzo, cioè www.aimac.it/convegni/convegno-ischia/indice-degli-interventi

There appears to be no Menu item that can do this.

i tried to figure this Problem out in the german community, but they pointed me to this community, for former help.

Problem: Since a few days the article-images dont look like they did before, the White Frame is gone, the Images are now shown at the left side and so on. At first i thought, that there is something wrong with the k2.css, but it isnt, the tag span.itemImage img {border:1px solid #ccc;padding:8px;}, which should Show the described design is there on line 190. When i use Firebug on my articles, it doesnt Point to this row, it just Point to the row img.

Its quiet mysterious, because if i want to Change the font of the Header text, it works like before, bute to Change the with firebug pointed out row for the img it doesn have any effect.

Iam not using any overrides for k2 in the template. And i have already installed the k2_dev_build.

I do not use K2 much; however, it was used on a site I am working on. The client liked K@ but after they were using it, they started to get lots of comments and realized they didn't want to bother with moderating them. So I turned comments off in K2, and immediately noticed something wrong in the frontend.

You can see the difference between the two settings in the files I uploaded. One shows the format with K2 comments enabled, and the same page with the comments turned off.

It looks as if the comments tag is acting as a spacer of some sort, and removing it causes the image to shift as if this is a missing DIV CLR CSS tag. Again, the only change was turning off K2 comments.

ja, komischerweise kann ich in der K2.css bspw. die Schriftart der Überschrift der Artikel verändern. D.h. eigentlich weiss das System, dass es auf die k2.css zugreifen soll. Bei den Bildern macht es dies aber anscheinend nicht, denn die span.itemImage ist ja enthalten.

Ist es denn möglich, dass nur bestimmte css-Bereiche (bspw. img) aus anderen css-Dateien gelesen werden, während der Rest (bspw.catItemHeader) aus der richtigen gelesen wird? Ich bin bisher davon ausgegangen, dass die Componenten ihre CSS bevorzugen und nur, wenn der gleiche tag im template definiert ist, dass er von dort aus überblendet wird.

An der Template.css habe ich auch nichts geändert, ich habe keine andere css in meinen templates. Overrides habe ich nur für jevents, hier liegt aber auch keine css drin.

When I want to save K2 articles i always get an
"error 500" or "Internal Server Error"

Things I´ve done until now:

There was a problem with folder premissions for /log and /tmp folder.
I solved it - in configuration.php - i added two dotts before slash
public $log_path = '../logs/';
public $tmp_path = '../tmp/';

And via FTP program i set the premissions to 777...
In Joomla System Info the two folders are shown with the writeable tag.

In some forums i red about a "k2 smart search" plugin issue in context with the error 500.
I´ve deactivated the plugin. Then the "Internal Server Error" disapeared.
And in the backend now I can edit and save articles normally.

But in the frontend editor I can open the articles but i can`t save them.
There always is following error message:

Here is the error message when I activate the smart search plugin:

I find many posts about "finder_tokens Tabelle is full" They describe a workearround to increase the memory for tables in com -> smartsearch -> options => but no success in my case.

Can you point me to where the time stamp is added, in which file?
I'm thinking I could possibly remove the time stamp from the file, and instead create a map with the time stamp as name. Then the same file could be copied to a time stamp generated map in the attachment folder.
Is there a disadvantage to making that change, do I have to change to much in K2's general structure?

@Kris CloudAccess is probably the only hosting company to nag for so long about K2. K2 allows public comments by default. This is to allow new users to see all available features in K2. It's why we don't hide images or tags or any other feature in K2 by default. From that to the point where a site is left wide open to spam comments, well, this has nothing to do with K2. It only has to do with users who have no idea how comments work and don't care to secure their site. And if a user sees all these spam comments yet they don't care about them, who are we to blame them. Furthermore, lots of users use prebuilt Joomla packages from template clubs. All these leave comments enabled. And they would even if we didn't.

All in all your claim is like blaming Joomla for a hacked site because the owner of that site had "admin" for their super user password.
