I am running a website on joomla 1.5 with K2 2.6.6

There is a problem with the og:url meta tag. There is an extra parameter to the end of the url like ?q=page alias.

Suppose you have a url like this: www.website.com/articles/sport/item/150
The url that K2 produces for og:url is www.website.com/articles/sport/item/150?q=articles/sport

That url turns into loop and facebook does not recognize the url.

Any ideas?

Hi, you're a star, thanks for getting back to me.

Changed all the settings in the Layout and Content sections of the K2 parameters to 'show', tag items are now showing correctly via the menu link, so I guess I'd turned off one of the necessary settings.

Once i am entering directly some words its giving me an error UTF-8 Encoding, please can you help where i can use some parser or etc stuff to change words from English to Arabic.

Hello Marc,

I assume you changed category_item.php. You have to make the same changes/edits to tag.php as well.

Remember to use overrides and do not edit core files.

Are your tags set to visible for the item view? You can check this at the category settings, also which version of Joomla! and K2 are you using?

ich habe heute K2 installiert und dann versucht die Beiträge aus Joomla zu importieren. Ein Teil wird auch importiert, aber nicht alle. Alles was nach dem 18.03. erstellt wurde wird nicht mit importiert.

Zudem bekomme ich beim Importieren folgende Fehlermeldung:

SQL=INSERT INTO ibov_k2_tags_xref (`id`, `tagID`, `itemID`) VALUES (NULL, , 291)

Kann mir dabei evtl. jemand helfen?

I've been playing around with K2 for a couple of days and more or less I have my catalog looking how I want it. But when I click one of the Tags the layout changes completely! Is there anyway to set the itemlisting to have the layout like my categories?

Any help will be muchly appreciated!

I'm not that new to k2 but in 2010 I built a site which now has problems because people want to use the tags capability and it's not working. Do you know how to fix it?

Hi, I've got items in K2 set with tags, I've created a menu item as K2 >> Tag, and the tag selected belongs to a published item/article. However, the page relating to the menu item is not showing those tags...any idea on why this would be happening?

I've just discovered K2 and would apologize for the basic question. I'm using a template from rockettheme, with a rocketlauncher install. When I try to import the existing articles over as items in K2, I am getting an error and can't do it. This would save so much time - has anyone come across this before? Thanks for and assistance!!

Teddy my proposed solution is to use tags as well for price ranges.

If you wish to use extrafields you can use searchable labels.
If JAK2 Extra fields Filter and Search is not working correctly you should adress this issue to the extension's developers since it was not developed by us.

Not sure what other information is needed... please forgive me.

I am in the early stages of this configuration, so I am still just working on structure of categories, items, etc. On to the problems.

When I am in the K2 dashboard, if I click the parameters icon (top right) I get "You are not authorised to view this resource."

Using the "inherit from category" selection does not work.

I check the jos_k2_users table and it is empty. If I select components>k2>users, I also get the "not authorised" message.

My thoughts are that either I need to re-install k2 or there is a permissions issue.

Any direction is greatly appreciated. If more information is needed, please let me know.

The answer unfortunately is no.
By not stripping tags your layout would break. This is 110% certain, a <ul> or <div> tag would not close and the whole site would be affected.

If you want more control over your introtext you should use two editors one for introtext and one for fulltext. (This setting is located in the Advanced parameters of K2)
