I have hundreds of duplicate content as a result of urls created by k2 and these urls end in and I want to get rid of them. Can anyone tell me how?

The issue is that all K2 items linked to the menu item - takes meta tag "description" from menu item if menu item metadata description is present AND meta tag descriptions are identical for all K2 items linked to the menu The original K2 items meta descriptions (set in K2 items manager) are NOT VISIBLE.

All of the items (mosaics works) has identical tag description wheras I set them to be specific to every item.

If no solution? I'm trying to use the MIJOACL, but without success, does not work.

I am a supporter of K2, hopefully someone indicate a solution, this question is for all "web", a simple search shows that the K2 before a solution as functional, gradually lost a key advantage.

I believe many are still waiting for an answer or a tip or trick that helps this issue.

Did you write video tags inside the K2 content area or you used the Video Tab of the K2 item?

i am trying to put some css codes like display: inline ; in the il related items class and more but nothing changing in the display .

Instead of having those features on the main article page, I just want to know if they can be displayed in a separate module. Thanks

for the category view:
Copy root/components/com_k2/css/k2.css to
root/templates/YourTemplate/css directory
Edit the k2 css in the templates directory
line 420 - chang 8 to 0 and change 16 to 0
line 422 - remove border tag and add
float:left;

Go to the k2 override directory
edit category_item.php
goto line 121
and change <div class="clr">
to <!-- <div class="clr"></div> -->

Quand tu créer un élément K2 (front ou back) tu le vois sur ton site en ligne ?

De base si tu créer un élément K2 dans une catégorie K2 ... Que ta navigation en front A BIEN un lien vers la catégorie K2 ..... rassures moi, tu as bien ton Element ?

K2 est une base et par defaut tu as TOUS les outils fonctionnels et présent sur ton Elément.... Css pour imprimer, grossir les fonts, Partage sur réseaux, envoie par mail ..... Image (crédit, source ...) etc ....

As tu un lien vers ton projet en ligne ?
Sinon je n'ai pas d'idée ..... si tu as bien un élément K2 avec un lien menu qui pointe dessus .... tu DOIS retrouver ce que tu as vu la première fois (et c'est le template par defaut)

I want to filter and display my K2 items by tag. I know i can do it by creating a menu item (selecting "tag" from the menu item creation options), BUT i want to display them in a module. Is there any way to do it?

Sorry but my previous post wasn't accurate.

Menu items are linked to the K2 categories. On all of my sites there are issues with meta tags description in K2 items.
Here is what I found after more trials:

in last K2 Version 2.6.2
- K2 item - takes meta tag "description" from menu item if menu item metadata description is present
- K2 item has its own metatag description if menu item meta tags are left blank
- K2 item takes meta tag description from begining of item text if menu item meta tags are left blank and item meta description is left blank
- K2 menu item tag description takes meta tag description from menu item meta tag description if it is present
- K2 menu item meta tag description takes meta tag description from begining of category text if menu item meta tags are left blank and category meta description is left blank

So it must be something with the menu items and K2 category code.

I can override this by not defining meta description for menu items and defining it in sh404SEF . But it is not what it should be.....

I'm trying to get Vote count to show on my tag page with this code in tag.php

But I ended up getting this error which I cannot figure out.
Anyone mod or coder who can help me solve this error? I managed to get Vote Counts showing on category list, so now I'm trying to do the same for tag listing but I don't get why the error message >_<

Hi. Try to add some menu links to your site to K2 categories. Regarding the tags there is a relative setting under K2 parameters which allows you to select a menu link to render for them.

I am trying to add extra items to a catagory on my website called services.

The problem is once i have created a new item and hit save i get this message 'Error loading component: com_finder, 1' in the backend. On the frontend the new item has been created but it's not in line (straight) with the other items and a nasty piece of code appears on the top of the page saying,

Warning: implode() [function.implode]: Invalid arguments passed in /home/content/03/10031203/html/templates/theme887/html/com_k2/templates.

I have tried repairing the database section in extensions manager and going into discover section but there is nothing to install.

I also have this message when i type /administrator/index.php?option=com_finder

Smart Search content plug-in is not enabled. Changes to content will not update the Smart Search index if you do not enable this plug-in.

Underneath is 3 k2 items.

I'm at a bit of a loss now. Please can someone give me some advice. It would be massily helpful.

I know jReviews like the back of my hand so I compare everything to it. Can someone tell me the status of these things with K2?

1- meta data. with jReviews you can automate meta data using variables such as {tags}, {title}, etc to the meta data area. This is a HUGE help with SEO and you don't have to set meta data on every article, it does it by itself accurately. You can also leave it off submission page and know that it'll get done.

2- can you easily tease articles so that guests can read some of it and then must register to read the full article (like Joomla content works)?

3- can you set Joomla access, publishing dates, etc from frontend?

I have following issue:

I have a K2 item and in the K2 item content I try to assign some H1, H2 heading styles and also an unordered list. In the Editor I can see the styles !

When I look to the item on the front end, I only see a 'flat' text without any styling.
I checked also with firebug: the text is just between [div] and [/div] ; there are no H1, H2 tags or UL tags added.

I tried to apply the styling in both TinyEditor and JCE editor: no difference
I tried different templates: no difference
I applied a template override - subcategory: no difference
I disabled some k2 plugins: no difference
And I tried to find a similar issue on the forum : no success

So I am completely lost.

K2 bileşeninde öğe eklendiğinde, meta etiketlerinde meta description bölümünde türkçe karakter hatası veriyor, meta etiketleri kısmına manuel olarak girilen etiketlerde türkçe karakter sorunu olmuyor. Bir de meta etiketlerinin başına (og: url, og description) og karakteri geliyor ve her meta tag ından iki tane oluyor. Benim araştırmama göre bu sorun son k2 güncellemesinden sonra oldu. Yani k2 2.6.1 den önce bu sorun yok sorunun çözümü için yardımlarınızı rica ediyorum. Sorun k2 bileşenindeki son güncelleden kaynaklanıyor ise gerekli yerlere bildirilmesini rica ederim.
