I love the K2 component for Joomla. It's been just what I needed. I have a question though - When I embed a video, is there a way to place the video at the beginning of the article (just below the title and before the body text)? Right now, it is below tags and related articles...not sure if anyone will see it!

Ok so I went and bought K2 Mart as I had Virtue Mart installed already and I love K2. Figured having the functionality merged would be great.

The install went fine, but I have two problems and have not yet gotten an answer at the Joomla Works forums so I thought I'd try here and the Joomla forums for some assistance.

Ok here are my stats:

Joomla 1.5.4
The latest version of K2
And latest version of Virtue Mart

K2 Mart installed fine, adding items works just fine.

Problems:
When clicking to add item to cart a window pops up with a button in it that says the word, button on it. That's all and when I click it, nothing happens. When I check the cart mod, the item is in there. So I then click go to Cart and it takes me to a page with the item in the cart. When I click check out another window opens and says loading, but it never loads. Just the word loading and a circle.

So I cannot get to the final stage of purchase to see if all is working.

Also I know that Virtue Mart allows for selling virtual items (such as PDFs etc) and I can't figure out where this is in K2Mart. I BELIEVE that where it asks for the URL is where you put a direct link to the object on your server and the URL is sent to the purchaser once they've completed purchase, but not sure and it's not in the documentation.

I am wondering if anyone could assist in helping me identify what (and where) I would need to edit K2 2.5.3 to strip tags {gallery}gallery{/gallery} from category listings.

I am using SIG Pro for each item though do not want the gallery present in category listings. If I enable "intro text" in the parameters, the tag loads.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I am getting a bit confused with K2.

I have created a module called LATEST MEDIA RELEASES which I have placed on a main page menu item page called Media Center which you can see here myjakartaconcierge.com/index.php/en/media-center

I have then created a K2 Category called media releases and an article/item about an upcoming golf tournament which i have placed in the media releases category and also given a tag called golf.

To tis point everything is ok. When you go to myjakartaconcierge.com/index.php/en/media-center you can see the article in a list which is what I want. However when i click on the article it opens the article in the same page WHICH IS WHAT I DON'T WANT.

What have I done wrong?

I'd like my Tag Itemlist to look the same as my Category Itemlist. Is this even possible?

To control the layout of the Category Itemlist, there's the parameter settings for "Category Item Layout", "Category View Options", "Item View Options in Category Listings", etc to control number of columns, rows, image size, etc. But there's nothing like this for controlling the Tags itemlist.

Maybe I'm just missing something? Anyone have any suggestions?

Also, I think there might be a bug in the Tag template because before each item it's echoing the string name "K2_DATE_FORMAT_LC2" rather than the actual date.

Totally new to K2 but loving it so far. I've been messing about customising my site for the last few days and this is the last issue that I just cant seem to figure out. I'm sure its a stupidly simple thing but it eludes me!

Basically, I most of my catagories are (and will be) set up with a leading count of two and a single column. After that the content (primary and secondary) will be 2 colums. Because my site is pretty narrow to begin with I want to utilize the item image options, so after the 2 lead articles the article images for the 2 column section show up a bit smaller.

From what I can tell, I set the image pixel width in the item image options, and then select the relevant size in the Category Item Layout. So under leading count I'd have large, with the regular image width set, adn then under primary and secondary I'd have small with a smaller image width set.

Problem is this isnt working for me! I cant seem to get the variable image options to kick in. Ive fiddled around with it for ages and still nothing. Have I missed something simple here?

I dont want to manually make the article images smaller because when clicking though from the catagory to the article I'd like the image to be the regular size, not small because I couldnt get k2 image options to work!!

Any help would be MUCH appreciated, I'm driving myself crazy on a problem that Im sure has a simple fix!

I am developing a new design for the Commercial Multi Marketing that involves the installation of smart technologies and important Joomla 1.7.3 "Project". This is my preferred platform. In "localhost" installed the latest version of Joomla 1.7.3, then follow the project schedule with the installation of Backup Akeeba Core3.3.7 (11/19/2011) and K2 v2.5.3 released on November 28, 2011.

or it must be dont care policy.

see if they find it difficult to do things in a professional way with free version of K2, all I suggest is develop K2 into a best component with all the features a end user would want and put a price tag. we are ready to pay... if it is a best component.

One more thing... they are developers they know what is in K2... as end users we need docs, changelogs to know what is in the component, a good Software will succeed only when developers think from the end user point of view.

As modifying this code of valuation of articles.
So that all followed one is seen in a line, and not in list.

nun meine Frage.. auf der Frontpage sind:
"tagged under" und "back to top" immer noch auf englisch
im Joomla sind Backend sowie frontend auf german gestellt mit den aktuellsten Sprachfiles..
Da ich zurzeit eine Art "Teamseite" zusammenstelle sind die tagged under Felder für mich von Nöten, brauche diese aber auf Deutsch oder würde sie sogar gerne komplett umbenennen.
Habt ihr einen Tip für mich?

I have been slowly working out how to use the K2 functions. I have created a category RESTAURANTS and when you go to it www.myjakartaconcierge.com/index.php/en/restaurants you can choose a number of sub categories. Here we have chosen CHINESE www.myjakartaconcierge.com/index.php/en/restaurants/itemlist/category/3-chinese and then the restaurant itself www.myjakartaconcierge.com/index.php/en/restaurants/item/6-xin-hwa-mandarin-oriental-jakarta

My question is; each time I get a press release from the Restaurant I want to put it on the page for the restaurant. Is this possible with K2 and tags. I have tried a couple of times but for some reason the article appears not just on the individual restaurant page but also on the main RESTAURANTS page.

Maybe I am doing something wrong with the tags or maybe I should be creating an article in the content and not an item in K2.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

When add a dash in a tag name e.g. "mp3-player" the page where all of the items with that tag "mp3-player" no longer works. Nothing is returned on the page. If I use "mp3 player" or "mp3_player" it works fines but if I use a dash it does not work. How do I fix this problem?

Have you tried creating a menu item, and then using the K2 > Tag function?
