Text disapears, first picture in set?

this is the same issue that i am having katia.

please give it some thought - i have customers depending on a good working gallery like sig pro but if it cant shown the 1st image caption - i may have to find something else.
what do you think the problem may be?

we are trying to work out this problem with the gallery.
Katia asked for my labels.txt file and i assume she may want to look at yours too.
i sent it to her today - will probably get a reply tommorow.

Same problem - first caption doesn't display.

Also using utf-8 setting.

I've got to say that the level of support around here seems to be a bit shoddy at the least - makes me think twice about purchasing any more components from joomlaworks.

And I have searched the forum - found a lot of people having problems with easy fixes not getting any help.

joomla works sent me the new sig pro 2.5.1 version. i havent tried it yet. i will let you know.

yes indeed same problem, the user werush has the same problem too - and i suspect even more users
what i have also found is that on some other galleries its not the 1st image that has the problem but another one like the last one for example.

Try with only english letters. Maybe that small "ø" makes some problems.

thats exactly the problem BBC - the special characters. i am using Greek, but although everything is set to UTF-8, we have the described problem

Unfortunately the use of a foreign language is what causes problems. Seems like a big problem for a commercial plug-in.

There are many ways to work around, but I'm still trying to convince my client to start speaking and writing english - but i'm not going to use the carrot anymore - either they convert to english like most normal people in a couple of countries around the world - or they will have to hire someone else :-[

How do you edit your labels.txt files ?

I just completely reproduced your problem.

I edit labels.txt with Dreamweaver.

If i save file with "Include unicode signature BOM" (Ctrl + J in DW) then i get your problems.
If i save without BOM then all is right.

Edit and save your labels.txt with Notepad ++- Seems it saves without BOM at default. Try it.
