Parameters not visible in Backend (J!1.5)

I just installed the new version. It works OK except the backend parameters are not displayed properly (just the control characters who identify the language file entry).
I guess there is something wrong with the language files. They are located in the language/en-GB folder as well as a copy in the /de-DE folder (German Joomla 1.5.23).
What is wrong?
Best regards
Onki

The problem seems to be solved.
I am using a German language file in Joomla 1.5.23 and this was causing the problem.
I duplicated the two (jw_sigpro) ini language file in the /administrator/language/en-GB folder to the /de-DE folder and renamed them to the correct name (de-DE.... instead of en-GB....).
Now I can see the parameters in the backend.
Is there any German language file available already?
Best regards
Onki

Hi Katia
The german translations is 4 years old and not working with 1.5
I only need to change the default captions of the galleries and images.
So I´m talking about words like:
- Click to open image
- previous
- next
-Navigation tip: Hover mouse on top of the right or left side of the image to see the next or previous image respectively.
- You are browsing images from the article
- Download this image
- Image x of y
Could you please name all respective files (incl. folder paths) where I can find those words in order to translate them? That would increase my speed enormously.
Thanks and BR,
Stephan

Once opened an article (with the thumbnails inside) it is not possible to open the gallery-submenus anymore.
What´s that???
Please see yourself:
phatpix.de/galerien/people --- no thumbnails in! path: Galerien/... available!
phatpix.de/galerien/akt --- thumbnails in! Submenus from Galerien not available!
You know about that bug and can help me out?

The file is in /plugins/content/jw_sigpro/includes/js/jquery_slimbox/js/slimbox2.js
If you keep the mootools the path is accordingly.
