I need a direct link to the gallery to check out the source code of the page.
Also, it would be helpful if you can tell us with what version of IE you receive this error.
EDIT. AS I can see from your image, it's IE7, right?! ;)
Thank you!

As I can see from the FIrebug of the FireFox, the page already gives an js error.
This error has to do with the mootools.
The plugin works ok with Firefox and IE7 ( my IE7 doesn't give the error you have post to the image ).
Try to change the engine to Lytebox or Greybox.
Thank you!

I'm having the same problem with an error on ie6.
I tried to use litebox or greybox, but ....
No error, the page looks ok, but when I click on a thumbnail, the big images are standing behind the div which holds the main body.
the link is here 67.225.163.163/~thesignh/index.php

Hmmm... You are using a template full of mootools js! :)
This is probably an css conflict with IE6.
Do you have the same result with all the other engines?
I need to check out your template's css to understand what happen.
Thank you!

The IE7 error reads: "Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site www.your-local-website.com/joomla157/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=52&Itemid=62. Operation aborted"
The link is: www.your-local-website.com/joomla157.
If you navigate via: LocalClbs->Brighton Bowls->Barracudas you will get to the Article containing the SIGPRO gallery.
Any/all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've just checked your page with FF and IE7
and I cannot reproduce the issue you kindly reported here.
Is it ok now?
Thank you!

No the problem is still there and solid (not intermittent), and I have tried it on both my Desktop and Laptop. It has never worked with IE7, so it is not due to any other changes I have made.
In your earlierrply to this posting you suggest changing the engine to Lytebox or Greybox. As this is not a parameter setting in SIGPRO, I don't understand what you are referring to.
I very much appreciate your help - if you need any other info or access please let me know. Although I have been in ICT for 30 years I am not a web developer and not expert in debug tools such as Firebug - I do not know how to run or interpret it.
Many thanks,
John

Today I re-checked your site today with IE7 and I saw the message...
Let's try to change the engines.
Go to your administrator panel,
from the menu, go to the plugins list
select from the filter to see the content plugins
and select the sig pro plugin
You'll see the edit area of the sig pro plugi
Change the engine from the parameters on the right of the page and save.
Select the Litebox, Lytebox or Greybox to check out if the issue still exist.
Thank you!

I changed the engine to "lytebox" and that fixed it.
Now, my only remaining problem is with the Home Page/Front Page in IE7 - the main (centre) and right positions are being pushed right - looks like the centre position is being enlarged for some reason. If I was competent in using Firebug(I'm working on it)I could fix it myself, but alas no, I am not.
The problem only exists in the Home Page/Front Page - select any menu option and all is well.
Any suggestions please?
Many thanks again for your prompt response and help.

At your Home page, is the sig pro loaded?
Because I can't see the necessary files at the head section of the page!
Thank you!

I'm not sure what you mean.
I presume SIG PRO only gets loaded when you navigate:
Local Clubs->Brighton Bowls->Barracudas
