Conflicts - blank pages - and nothing more with SIG Pro

but my love is having a difficult time - mostly because of apparent conflicts between this extension and other scripts loading into my pages.
background:
joomla 1.0.x
rockettheme versatility iii
loading slimbox and mootools
i can get the gallery to load with the FREE version, but the slimbox effect does NOT work - clicks on images open in new tabs in firefox mac.
IF i DELETE all the mootools and slimbox script loads from the index.php template page in the backend, i can get the FREE version to work WITH the slimbox effect - but ONLY on pages where gallery is loaded. elsewhere in my site, where i need slimbox to work, it no longer does - of course, because the scripts have been deleted from the template. thus, i'd have to convert EVERYTHING IMAGE to a folder / label.txt to retain this functionality. oh, and that's with the PRO version, not the free version.
let's talk PRO version. i cannot get it to work at ALL. pages load blank - no code, nothing. the pages abort when the PRO plugin is activated. if i turn off, the pages load again. turn it on - pages BLANK. that won't work. there are conflicts - but not with the slimbox / mootools scripts - remember, i deleted them. so what is it?
holy smokes, so much hacking here. can't it work easier than this? i've coughed up my $16, but i'm afraid it's going to go to waste - i know, boo hoo. still, i really like this plugin and want it to work. i NEED galleries inside my stories.
can anyone help? here's a link to check out a reverted installation back to FREE and WITH the default template moo and slimbox scripts (obviously i need the rest of my site to work properly): www.stylecenturymagazine.com/furniture/made-to-order/Page-2
my problems are thus:
1. need SIG to work - preferably PRO so i can have captions
2. need to find a solution that doesn't involve turning everything else on my site OFF to make SIG PRO work - that's no solution
3. maybe some help identifying the conflict culprits
thanks in advance for your help!

This is a common problem with the templates who loads a lot of js scripts...
Your template loads already the mootools library.
This means that the slimbox of the sig pro will not work
cause the sig pro loads also the mootools library.
The others engines could work on this template!
The Lytebox uses the jquery engine
and the Greybox, Lytebox use others engines.
Have you tried all the engines of the plugin without solutions?
Can you please select the Greybox or Litebox to check out if works
and if not, to check out the source of the page.
Thank you!

yes, i tried the other options - still the same problem.
are you saying i must use a template which does NOT load mootools in order to use SIG Pro? that seems UNBELIEVABLE - most contemporary templates load this for their menus, etc.
how can this be? can't there be an option within SIG Pro that turns off the loading of its own mootools script? that seems like a much better option than asking customers to strip their templates of core script loads.
maybe i'm misunderstanding. am i correct in what i'm saying above? that i must disable all script loads of mootols within any template that uses SIG Pro?
please tell me i'm wrong.

Can you please PM me an account to your administrator panel
to check out why the other engines don't work?
It's really strange...
Yes, your point it's right. We should have an option to disable the load of the mootools library from our plugin.
This feature will be implemented to the next massive version.
Now, only if you know a bit of html code, you could remove the lines of code from the sig pro, that load the mootools library. In this way you can leave your template as it.
Thank you!

Were you able to find a solution for charger70? I suspect it would be the same solution for me (if there is one) I really want to use SIG but I can't stand the way it opens a new window to display the image.
Thanks a bunch!!

A direct link to the page would be very helpful for us to understand the problem!
About charger70, his had a permission problem with the javascripts files
The browser couldn't read the js files because the server returned "denied access" message.
The solutions was just to change the permissions of the folders where the sig pro was installed!
Thank you!

Check if JPG Support is enabled in your GD library.
If not, that's it!
To be sure, try with an image format which is enabled in your GD library (PNG for example).
Cheers

- Custom Theme (limited use of JS, except for a few extensions installed)
- Running on Windows Server 2000 (unfortunately I can't change this, as it's for a non-profit organization that has a "managed" web server by a shared MIS department)
- IIS5.0
- Permissions for plugin directories are for the IIS Guest User to read/write/modify.
Please help.
Thanks,
Tyson

I need to know when you're trying to look at the site, so I can re-enable the plugin. We need it working in the interim, so I have disabled the plugin so the rest of the site will work correctly.
Thanks!

I saw that you have your site under IIS, does the IIS support GD2 graphic library?
Thank you!

I know a little bit of code, and I know how to comment out lines. Could you let us know what file we need to edit to comment out the lines of code?
//edit//
I found out the true issue behind my gallery images opening in a new window instead of the slimbox popup here: forum.joomlaworks.net/index.php?topic=1762.0
It turns out SIG Pro is not able to display properly in a module position. I made the edits suggested in the above link and my gallery works perfectly now.
