[Solved] SIG not working after PHP 5.3 and Joomla 1.5.15 update was created by Viggo Thomas Hinrichsen

Hello

Today my provider updatet to php 5.3 with the result, that my JOOMLA page 1.5.13 did not work anymore so I had to update to the 1.5.15 version.

Now my SIG plugin isn't working anymore. It just shows the plugin command as text like:
{gallery}faste_billeder_layout/galleri/int_finale/intfinale/{/gallery}

Any ideas?

Check again the plugin settings and the path of the folder where is your gallery.

Didn't do the trick.

I also uninstalled and installed it again.

I disabled other plugins to check for interference - no luck.

Strange. The code is inside a module. Can that be the problem?

OK, I checked it all.

After the update the plugin doesn't work if it is placed inside a module.

I tried insiede a custom HTML module and also the "Plugin in module" (mod_plugin_module).

Anyone who has an idea?

p.s. I'm using the newest version of mod_plugin_module

Does SIG Pro displays fine if you put the gallery inside a content item and not in a module?

I have the exact same problem after updating to php 5.3 and joomla 1.5.15. If i insert the code into an article i get a blank thumbnail, the slideshow works when i click on the blank thumbnail. I set off cache and did try other stuff but nothing helps.

Is there any slution for this problem, before the update everything worked fine.

@podencoworld,
you probably have permissions issue.Check your permissions in cache folder. Must be set at 755.
In addition be sure that you have installed GD Library.

It isn't a permission issue, cache and temp folder have the right permissions.

I have asked my host if GD library is installed with the update of php 5.3. But i don't think this is the problem.

On my test server i have php 5.2.10, and after i updated to joomla 1.5.15 the same problem occurred..blank thumbnails..

Everything worked fine until the update to joomla 1.5.15. So i think maybe SIG Pro is not compatible with joomla 1.5.15.

Believe it or not, SIG PRO IS compatible with Joomla!1.5.15.
So please check again the other settings.

hi guys .. this is my first post here .. actually I joined this forum to find some answers for the questions I've faced. One is this .. but as I can see there isn't a clear answer.

Ok, you tell me why SIG isn't working anymore after the upgrade. I contacted my host GD library is installed, all the permissions are set corectly.

Tell me the solution please.

SIG is a great product when it works.... :(

Hi, i got it working again. I emptied cache. Change temp and cache to 777. Played with the settings and got it working. First attempt didn't succeed with jpegs saved it as jpgs... and there were my thumbnails again.

Sorry for my previous comments, SIG is still a great product :D
