[Solved] Simple Image Gallery Pro not displaying galleries on certain pages was created by Desmond Walford

I have an issue whereby galleries are not displaying on certain pages. Problem began after checking website with RSFirewall and manually correcting permissions. Plugin has been reinstalled, but no change.

Folder and file permissions are set at 755 and 644 respectively.

I just visited your site and I saw all galleries with no problem. Could you provide a link to a gallery that doesn't work for you?

All {gallery} tags MUST NOT be inside <strong> or <em> tags.

The problem is with folders permissions. When trying to upload an image through media manager you will see that you cannot upload. The reason is that joomla tries to write as apache user and not as ftp user. So obviously apache user doesn't have any rights to the folders.

This is a common problem with joomla. Try googling it so as to find the solution or you can mention the problem to your hosting provider.

I will check this, however, if the permissions are the issue stopping Simple Image Gallery Pro from displaying correctly on some pages. The pages correctly displaying a gallery should display a blank space like the pages I provided links for. Is there anything else that might be causing this issue?

I can't think of anything else. You should try uploading images through media manager to every folder you have galleries and see when you can and when you can't. To those you can't the problem is the owner's permissions and under which owner the folder or files are created. All files and folders should be under the same owner otherwise just make those folders permissions 777 and check what happens then.

My hosting provider has checked the permissions and I'm able to upload files via Media Manager, however, Simple Gallery Pro is not displaying consistently across chosen pages, even after I have deleted previous folders and recreated with new names etc...
