Hello,

It will work with any valid RSS feeds.
It is a module (not a component) which displays feeds from multiple sources (K2 is not involved anywhere).

I have an RSS question and though I would just reply here instead of starting a new topic. I can't figure out how to add an extra field image to the RSS feed. I did successfully add one extra field to the title, so it's definitely reading the extra fields. I can see the RSS feed fine from ?format=feed page but Google Feed burner can't seem to read it. I need the extra field to show up in the feed because I use google feedburner to manage email subscriptions and i want the image to show up in the emails

/index.php/rss?format=feed
the picture on the first listing is because I added an image to the item through the regular k2 way. The other items have images that are actually through the extra fields and I can't get them to show

I got the text area extra field to show with this
$fields = json_decode($item->extra_fields);
            $item->title = $this->escape($item->title);
            if ($fields[1]->value && $fields[1]->value !== '')
            {
                $item->title = html_entity_decode($fields[1]->value.' '.$item->title);
            }

            else
            {
                $item->title = html_entity_decode($item->title);
            }

here
\www\components\com_k2\views\itemlist\view.feed.php

the text i want is actually in extra field 2, but for some reason I had to put fields[1] for the code to pull it

A similar solution can be found here:

www.joomlaworks.net/forum/k2-en/44723-modify-k2-rss-feed-output-add-extra-fields#150938

Keep in mind that you should keep backups of this edit since this is a hack.

It also contains a suggestion regarding an extension which you should read.

That's were I got the code for the part I was able to work out. No matter. I found a way to do this by hacking, adding the image to the description.
The code I put in this file view.feed.php here
\www\components\com_k2\views\itemlist

I replaced
$feedItem->description = $item->description;
with
$feedItem->description = html_entity_decode('<img hspace="5px"; align="left"; height="150px"; src="'.$fields[0]->value.'">'.$item->description);
my image is actually in extra field 1, but for some reason I had to put fields[0] for the code to pull it

The important thing is that it is working.
Just keep in mind that you should keep backup of this file, or the URL of this thread.
