I installed the new version on my server, created a new position called feed, and got:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class SimplePie in /home/johowdyc/public_html/joomla/libraries/simplepie/simplepie.php on line 346

I have only been using Joomla for 7 months, and had the older version of SimpleRSS working on my localhost computer - this was my first attempt to add it to the server. 

My 2nd question is if I need to create a new module from the SimpleRSS with a different position and title to display a different set of feeds on a second article/page?  What am I doing wrong? Can you direct me to some help? Thanks!(I am pretty sure my problems are newbie related - as I HAVE seen this module working on localhost and loved it!)

The problem could be:
- a badly formed rss feed
- the installation was not successful

I'd recommend:
- uninstall
- make sure there is no folder left for mod_jw_srfr within /modules
- re-install

If you still get this error, it's a bad RSS feed.

Concerning your second question, you can copy the module, and use it in a different position with different feeds.
