There has been an update to the template since.
Please install the template's latest version.

For the missing highlights.
a) Install the update
b) Clear your cache
c) Reselect the Fonts you wish to use, even if they are the default ones.
d) clear your cache once again.

I upgraded to the latest version (which overwrote the custom.css and the index.php files?) but the settings and text are still disappearing on save. They do show on the front end.. which is great! but in the back end they are gone. Also fontawesome icons are not working n the backend now.

The template has been updated to resemble the changes in Joomla! 3.3.

Use the update package and not the template package.
