K2 comment redirecting issue was created by Toby Bonner
Thanks to an update somewhere to recaptcha V2 API, the recaptcha on my site stopped working. That was easy enough to fix with a new key.

However, now when comments are submitted, they redirect to a page that literally only shows the following line of text:

{"message":"Comment added and waiting for approval.","cssClass":"k2FormLogSuccess"}

Something in the code needs fixed, because the "Comment added and waiting for approval." bit is supposed to show up as a simply message that appears above the comment form, without taking users to a whole new page... But I'm not sure where in the code that is, or how to fix it.

I'm not too picky about how that message is shown. If it's a little popup box, or just a message within the page, whatever. I just don't want users taken to a whole new, completely useless page, or for the comment form to remain filled out after the comment has been submitted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For some reason jQuery is being loaded after K2's scripts.
This could be caused by the plugins order (try moving the K2 system plugin further down the list).

Alternatively you can use an extension like jQuery Easy to sort the scripts' order.

Installing jQuery Easy fixed it. I tried moving the System - K2 plugin first, but that didn't seem to do anything.

Submitting comments works, it doesn't redirect to that weird page anymore, and the little success comment shows up like it should.

Thanks for the help!

There are several JS issues coming from the cookie consent plugin.
These issues can cause the site not to function properly.
Some are 403 permissions issues, you need to correct this issues or deactivate this extension.

Hey there,

Since my Polish is really bad, can you point me to an item with enabled comments?
