[SOLVED] How to remove K2 tags in URL in joomla?

Category: English K2 Community

Regarding that specific error, I'm not 100% sure off the top of my head as i've never encountered it after applying those settings but it is possible that your server only allows your URL's to be re-written to a certain point. Try clearing your site's cache and refresh the page, otherwise you can change the setting back to get rid of that error.

I can see about looking into that error and if I find a solution I'll let you know.

- - - -

I would recommend making a new Menu Item for your Hikashop "Checkout", so make a second menu somewhere else (perhaps a hidden menu) and give the menu an alias of "checkout" and see what happens.

I know with a few extensions, making a second menu item will override and apply a new alias. You can give it a shot, if that doesn't work, you can try installing that plugin I mentioned.

If there's anything else let me know, until then, I'm happy we cleared things up and I was able to assist you with the issue you were having.

Good Luck with your website!

Select "Prefix for item URLs" to NONE"

[SOLVED] How to remove K2 tags in URL in joomla?

Category: English K2 Community

Hi Jana,

Thank you for your response!

I guess I assumed you were a business owner starting up an eCommerce site, instead I should have kept a mental note that this is a community based support forum so anyone (any age and gender) with access to starting a site would be posting on here, so again I do apologize.

- - - -

In regards to the URL's

Starting with K2 URL Structure, you can do the following

Log into your Admin Control Panel

  1. Go to Components -> K2
  2. Look for the Parameters Button (top right *default admin template)
  3. Once clicked, click on "Advanced" Tab and scroll down to "Advanced SEO"
  4. Select "Enable advanced SEF for K2 URLs" to YES
  5. Select "Prefix for item URLs" to NONE

You can play around with the settings, hopefully getting the URL's close or even exactly to your liking

- - - - -

In terms of your Checkout URL, make sure you applied an Alias in your menu item, usually a date is placed when the alias is left blank. If that doesn't work, you can try installing the plugin I shared with you in an earlier post and that should do the trick.

Upon installing the plugin, all you have to do is go to your menu item and click a new button beside your Title/Alias and that will allow you to apply a simplified URL.

- - - - -

To remove index.php from the URL on all pages, you would have to change the settings in your Global Configuration

Go to System -> Global Configuration

Once you have redirected to Global Configuration, look on the right side and you should see "SEO Settings"

Make sure your SEO Settings are set to

Search Engine Friendly URLs = YES
Use URL rewriting = YES
Adds Suffix to URL = NO
Unicode Aliases = NO

- - - - -

If you have any issues and need further assistance, let me know.

Good Luck and I'll keep an eye out for your response

[SOLVED] How to remove K2 tags in URL in joomla?

Category: English K2 Community

I apologize if my message was taken the wrong way and want to assure you that I am able to perform support without Skype, my email address was provided as an alternative means of getting in contact with me in case Skype was completely out of the question. I only wanted to provide a means of communication that would be efficient for both of us.

I manage countless clients using Skype but completely understand your point-of-view that for some who strictly use it for personal use would not want to share it for anything Web-Service related.

My contact details remain accessible to you should you change your mind and again I apologize for the way my message was received.

I am still available and interested in providing you assistance

Sincerely,
Chris

No problem at all and sounds good

In the event you need assistance:
Just so we can somewhat coordinate before our Team Viewer session, you can contact me by email and/or Skype. The reason I suggested Skype is so you can provide me your Team Viewer ID and Session Password and in case you ever have questions and/or need help later on down the road.

Email: service AT seamuno DOT com (please write as standard email address)
Skype ID: Seamuno

I will reply a lot faster by email/skype as I am currently working between various pages/programs.

Thanks and I look forward to your response!

[SOLVED] How to remove K2 tags in URL in joomla?

Category: English K2 Community

If you have the ability of creating a Menu Item to your checkout, you could try using this extension

Joomla SEF Menu Extension

Please make sure to backup your site before installing extensions

I can't guarantee that it will work for your set up but it would be worth a try. If it doesn't work, please feel free to add me on Skype and we can look into this a bit more for you.

If you have an SEO Extension, you should be able to override that URL, if not then there's a possibility that your SEO Extension offers a "Commercial" plugin to rewrite that URL. Again this is something we could look into for you.

I look forward to your response!

@Rocio

You also need to check the img tag src attribute. The img tag should be placed inside the a tag. If the src is correct then probably this is a CSS issue as Krikor said. A link to the page would be very helpful.

[SOLVED] Multiple galleries on K2 Item doesn't work

Category: English K2 Community

Hi,
I installed K2 v3 Beta1 and Simple Image Gallerie Pro v3.0.6.
I try to used the new multiple images galleries fonctionnality and it doesn't work!
The first creation on a gallerie on an item goes well. But when I come back on the item edit interface, I've got this error message :
There was a problem rendering your image gallery. Please make sure that the folder you are using in the Simple Image Gallery Pro plugin tags exists and contains valid image files. The plugin could not locate the folder: media/k2/galleries/

When i go on "galleries" tab, nothing new except "{gallery}{/gallery}".
In my data base, I don't have the field #_k2_items.gallery like the old version, but le field #_k2_items.galleries has this value :
[{"folder":"1c66","url":"","upload":""},{"folder":"1c70","url":"","upload":""}]

How can I fix it? I think the save on a new gallerie is well, but the renderer doesn't work!?
Thank you !

I do not think that the image was removed.
In chrome the three dots (it appears like an underscore due to the resolution) mean that there is content under that tag.

You are right on the CSS conflict. The most probable reason is a conflict with the modal class.

About schedule and onAir module

Category: Commercial Joomla Templates

Head on the Schedule category.

One item per day as you can see.
Open the item and click on the Extrafields tab. You will find the schedule there.

The "Schedule" extra fields group is assigned to the Schedule category. It consists of twelve, two-hour set of: the show's start and end time, the dj's avatar, the show's title and tagline as well as the show's cover image. Each set of extra fields is marked with the postfix _a, _b, _c, etc. up to _l on each extra field's alias.

Also make sure that you unpublish the Radiojar onAir module and enable the K2 Content one.

Page image not responsive, problems on phone

Category: English K2 Community

Hello,

After checking out the page you posted, I have determined that there is an issue with the surrounding hyperlink tag.

If you have knowledge of template edits, you can try applying the following in

components/com_k2/templates/(YOUR TEMPLATE NAME)/item.php

Do images show up in any of your other articles? and have you made any changes to your "Default" K2 Item template?

Based on the code seen in your screenshot, there is a slight possibility that the code for the image was accidently removed since all I'm seeing is an underscore "_" in between your opening and closing hyperlink tags.

Without knowing whether or not you or someone else made changes to your template, I'd have to troubleshoot this problem. If you are interested, my contact details are in my signature, please feel free to contact me anytime.

Since I'm a little in the dark regarding this issue, my guess is that either the code has been adjusted and the image tag was removed or else there is a CSS conflict somewhere.

I look forward to your response and hopefully I can fix this up for you asap.

Filtering items...

@Adriiano

There is no "right" way to do this. K2 gives you categories and tags. If these don't fit your needs you might need to look for an extension for filtering. Also keep in mind that you can always fetch items from multiple categories using menu links.

OG:Title problems with apostrophes and accented

Category: English K2 Community

Do you have a separate plugin for handling this ? I see a plugin named bt_socialshare. I also see that you have duplicate tags for facebook in your page source which verifies that you are using also an extension on top of K2 for adding these tags. First you need to find and disable this extension and see if the incorrect tag is produced by K2 or the other extension.

The alt and title tags are there so you do not need to change the URL.
If Google is not indexing them it's because Joomla!'s default robots.txt is blocking the /media folder.

Open your robots.txt and remove that line.
