A added the mp4 format to joomla available extension, the default media folder is /media/k2/video.

I'm using K2 to build product pages, each product comes "grouped" with a main page and three sub-pages. When going to the product page there will be the product title and underneath that will be three text links pointing to each of its sub-pages.

My question is regarding the sub-links under the title, what is the best way for me to link to those sub-pages?

I thought about creating an Extra Field for each of those sub-links, which would work great, but say I used Link as the extra field I didn't see how to 'choose' the sub-page I'd be linking to.

Would I use tags and related items to link the "group" of pages together?

(chaque Tag entré est un artiiste. Je cherche donc à exploiter ceci pour en faire une entree de navigation sur le site : par artistes)

In my website I use K2 component. I want that every single item shows similar items by tags. And yes, it shows. But it shows just last 5 items i added if there is at least one common tag. But i want that it firstly shows the items which has most common tags as the item the one being viewed. Is it possible? if so, how can I make it that way?

I use Joomla 1.5.25, Joomfish 2.1.7 (j1.5) and k2 2.5.4 (j1.5)

The default language is greek. i install joomla language for english and russian. I install joomfish translation for greek and russian.

My articles details (posted, tags, author, etc) in k2 shows in English. I try to install k2 language pack for greek and russian but i get an error that "no core language pack found for : el-GR or ru-RS

i miss sothething ?

I've have a custom override for a k2 category which works fine except the tag.php page which just uses the defaut tag.php page.

I only want to style the tag page for a specific category - no all categories.

ich betreibe für unseren Verein eine Webseite (www.amsterdamer-kroepfer.de). In den letzten Tagen habe K2 installiert.

Jetzt hat mich gestört, dass ich für K2 praktisch eine eigene Userverwaltung habe. Meine User werden heute über den Community Builder angelegt. Das habe ich gemacht, weil die registrierten Benutzer angeben sollen, ob sie Tiere unserer Rasse züchten und falls, in welchen Farbenschlägen. Gäste unserer Webseite sollen dann die Möglichkeit haben, nach entsprechenden Züchtern suchen zu können.

Bei der Suche nach einer Synchronisationsmöglichkeit zwischen K2 und CB habe ich mir die Frage gestellt, ob ich CB überhaupt noch brauche???

Eigentlich würde mir reichen, wenn ich entsprechende User Fields erstellen könnte (Farbenschlag, etc.) und dann eine Filtermöglichkeit nach diesen User Fields anbieten könnte.

Geht das? Bin ich auf dem richtigen Weg oder sehe ich den Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht mehr?

Try looking in K2.css and find the styling for the element and change it there
Sometimes it will be in the template's css also

I have the same problem in Joomla 1.7 with K2 (2.5.4) and SIGpro (2.5.6). Not all the zip-archive can be installed in the article. With Joomla 1.5 nearly no problems.
Under version J1.7 and K2:
If i will install a gallery in an article. often gives an error:

The was a problem converting the source image.
There was a problem rendering your image gallery. Please make sure that the folder you are using in the Simple Image Gallery Pro plugin tags exists and contains valid image files. The plugin could not locate the folder: media/k2/galleries/2

If I want to change the gallery, or clear the cache, or cache time expired in the plugin - just shows the error. In the Fronend only visible the text {gallery}2{/gallery}
I tested it on a local PC and on the web-server. With Joomla 1.5 and with 1.7. But only with 1.7 i have problems...

I have been asked to make a video wall that lists videos, tags, describes, searches on keywords etc. but they want it produced in Joomla. I have comes across K2 which I think might be the way forward, but I just wondered whether someone could give me some advice.

This is the strangest thing.

Only on one of my K2 sites (J1.5.25 + K2 2.5.4), when I do front end editing, on the Attachments tab the Browse button is missing.

I've tried re-installing K2 2.5.4. I've created a test category with all default settings and default template. Still the problem persists.

The HTML code has pertinent information stripped out between the <input> tags, but only on the Attachments tab. See attachment

All other tabs work correctly. What could possibly be interfering with this?

I have got another site on which which i recently did a fresh K2 install (K2 v2.5.3) and there it is working perfect.
The problem site however is an K2 upgrade from version 2.4.? to 2.5.4.
Could the problem be that this was an upgrade from a version which did not yet had metatags for categories?

Anyone from K2 with some advise perhaps????

I've seen in older threads that other people have struggled with the same problem. This is my first post here and I hope I'm not offending anyone repeating a subjet. I've read the older threads and did a lot of research, I've set a timezone in php.ini and I've updated the language files for front and back end.

However, that thing still drives me crazy.

I get the following 500 error for French k2 content

DateTime::__construct() [datetime.--construct]: Failed to parse time string (mardi, 06 mars 2012) at position 0 (m): The timezone could not be found in the database

and the next one for German k2 content

DateTime::__construct() [datetime.--construct]: Failed to parse time string (Dienstag, 06 März 2012) at position 0 (D): The timezone could not be found in the database

Needless to say that English version is fine.

The date in the time string, March 6th, 2012 is stored in an extra field of type date.

Any hints, ideas or help are highly appreciated

je viens de rejoindre cette communauté, aussi est-il possible que ma question vous semble un peu stupide...
Je viens de créer des tags (étiquettes) comportant des caractères spéciaux notamment des apostrophes... et il semble que cela pose problème à K2 qui n'est pas capable d'afficher la liste des éléments portant cette étiquette... Par contre si je simplifie l'étiquette (i.e. sans apopstrophe dans le texte), ça marche parfaitement. Ai-je un problème d'encodage de fichier ou de base de donnée mysql ??

IN talking with the sh404sef forum, they tell me that a fix might have been issued in the most recent release (2.5.4) although I have just updated my joomla and k2 to the latest, no difference yet, any ideas out there?
