Currently, the helper of the module does not output to the view all the userObject data, and most importantly the user id.
For example, I would love to create an overwrite, which includes also certain integration with other extensions based on it, but it is not possible to get it, without hacking the helper.
Is it possible to consider for the next version to add one simple row right after: Displaying 4741 - 4760 out of 6582 results.

Sorry for the title,
I dont want joomla search, I like k2 search as it displays search results with images of the respective article.
I am using mod_k2_tools, and k2 search plugin is set to yes. I have done all this gone through every parameter before posting here, but nothing happens
when I use a word that is given in the full text it displays the article.
I have 12 categories. if I give any category in search it displays nothing
I have tags for every article, when I use the same tag in search displays nothing. i get blank page
but when I click on the tag displayed below the article it filters the articles by that filter.
same for user name.
if you want to see for yourself, I am ready to provide you my admin details

I wrote a small tool to import K2 content from a CSV file and to export K2 data to a CSV file.
www.individual-it.net/en/Joomla/
Its possible to import all fields including "extra fields", userids, images, tags, galleries, categories and attachments.
The file must have a heading row. Text delimiter: ' " ' field separator: ','
For "Multiple Select" Fields use also "," to separate the options e.g.: "option 1, option 3"
To have a example-file to first an export and check the documentation .
Here is user manual
If you like it please vote for it or write a review
If you have problems:

First off, please don't use offensive titles.
You have 2 options to search K2 content. Either by using Joomla's search options or by using the K2 specific options in mod_k2_tools. You can search everything in K2 with these 2 options.
If you want to be able to search specific categories, you can do so with mod_k2_tools. Read the explanation in the tooltips.
To enable tag searching, see the K2 Search plugin params.
User searching is not available, as it's a complete overkill. If you want searching for that too, however, we got you covered. Just enable Google Ajax Searching in the K2 params.

Firstly I'm an amatuer and relatively new.
I have installed K2 on Joomla 1.5, I have built categories, sub categories and added items with a little content just as working examples.
My problem is : I have added the Catagories and erefore thItems to the Main Menu item manager as specified, however my menu does not appear at all on Preview.
Everything I've done appears on my front page which isn't ideal but probably another thing altogether.
I cannot choose anything or navigate correctly, as there is no menu.
Any ideas where I am going wrong please?
regards Woodston

Building Menu links

I am an amatuer so go easy with me !
I have installed K2 and understand catagories etc. So I have built a little content up. My problem is this: I cannot build menu links to my catagories and items. I try to , but I can't !!!!
When I go to Menu Manager in Joomla it appears to be there, but in Preview.... nothing. Do I have to alter something so that the K2 content appears in the Joomal menu?
Now I dont pretend to be an expert ...so Im hoping someone else is !
I'd be very grateful..and you would become I very nice person immediatley.

Finally after 2 days of search I am exhausted, I even spent a sleepless night to fix k2 search, but of no use.
used applications:
Joomla 1.7.2
K2 2.5
k2 has wonderful features but frustrating search function.
K2 search cant do the following
- search with tags
-search with categories.
-search with author names
but the irony is it filters them when tags, or authors are clicked.
after trying many components for building content I came to K2
K2 has wonderful features than many other components, but Search in K2 is a complete failure.
Developers may delete my post for this, but thats the reality..
the features that should be the core of K2 is missing. I expect better k2

How to hide articles in sub-catagories
Category: English K2 Community
I am testing a setup with nested categories: so I have a top level category with no articles, used to group a number of sub-categories.
e.g. top-level Continents, sub-categories of Europe, Asia, America, etc.
Items are then created in the sub-categories.
I then added a menu item to view the items in the continents category. This nicely shows the continent category and description, and the sub-category names and descriptions, but then includes a list of all the items in the continent categories below that. I want to hide these item names, so the user would first click on a continent and then see the items for the continent chosen.
How do I do that?
In general I am a bit confused I think about how a nested category situation works with respect to front end navigation. A pity that there is no documentation for K2 and that the videos either don't really help except for specific situations or are too long to watch through!

Hi.
It's not built-in to K2 but if you are able to export the flexicontent in csv format with all the tags/cat etc, then you could use the "K2 Import / Export" extension:
www.individual-it.net/Joomla/View-category.html
Good luck!

We're currently using Joomla 1.5 with Flexicontent. We want to revamp with Joomla 1.7 and would prefer to switch over to K2 for template compatibility and a lot of other small issues that have been bothersome with Flexicontent (has been a problem with our older JoomlaBamboo template and Flexicontent).
How would K2 handle our database? Would it recognize the same tags, categories, etc? Not pros, just amateurs who built a website and don't want to give ourselves a nightmare project.

Item's main image - where is it in database?
Category: English K2 Community
Hi guys,
first off kudos to a great component. I am new to K2 but its really fast and flexible and I like it a lot. Recently we decided to create a news portal. We made a deal with a news company that gave us access to their feed and we did set everything up. (www.internetovenoviny.sk - its not done yet obviously)
Anyhow.. I am trying to import articles from a XML file. But I dont know where the images go in the database...
seriously can't find it. I looked in the jos_k2_items table via phpmyadmin.
There is only the GALLERY column. But where is the MAIN IMAGE column? Or how does K2 work with the item's images?
I just need to know where should the XML tag - IMAGE go in the database to make it work.
Any help is really appreciated.
I am using the latest K2 with joomla 1.5.23. Thank you!
