I'm using joomla 1.5.2, K2 v2.4.1 and the EasyImageCaption plugin - generates captions from images' TITLE or ALT tags in articles and displays them below (or above) the images(extensions.joomla.org/extensions/photos-a-images/articles-images/9105)

The HTML clean up tag does not change anything with the LATEST_ITEM.PHP. It is only for the CATEGORY_ITEM.PHP.  Why I have no idea. We have a development site with K2 on it and it does the same thing on that one as well. Not sure why these two things are so different but it has been a bit of a nightmare dealing with this.

 

The Attachment field does not list the items correctly. They randomly list the items in a row and thus the reason we no longer use the attachments. Again, I have no idea why it does this, as great as K2 is with content management it really has it's short comings with some of the features. Plus I believe that the LATEST-ITEM does not allow us to list the attachments.

 

I do appreciate the help, but I am going to have customize the CATEGORY_ITEM.PHP template to produce the reverse bars because I have given up completely the LATEST_ITEM. It seems to be this red headed step child that is MUCH more limited and... well frustrating.

You can have HTML in Intro.

Check your Global K2 Settnigs for Introtext HTML cleanup (tag strip).
If it is set to "Yes" then there you have a problem.

I'm having a devil of time solving an issue, and thought maybe someone here could help me out. My new site went live yesterday and I've discovered that items aren't adhering to the menu they are posted in (I'm using K2 for content). By that, I mean the style I have set for different menus is no longer working for the items (it worked as of last week and still works on stories posted early last week).For example, when I post a story all modules appear on the main menu where they should but when you click on a story it takes you to defaulted style page. I have styles set up within the backend template menu structure that's not working. It appears - by looking at the breadcrumbs - these items aren't actually going to a menu even though they do appear on the menu page?Example of one that isn't working: facingcancertogether.witf.org/ca ... facts-4911 Note this should have a sidebar menu that's pointed to the main section and all its submenu tags (Cancer & Treatments).An older story works, here's the link for that: facingcancertogether.witf.org/ca ... ncers-4111As you can see it loads the sidebar menu and the color scheme at the top is correct, which isn't for the first link I posted.I cannot find out how to fix this. Any ideas? Modules are published correctly, it has to be something where the item isn't seeing its menu. Please help!

You can change behavior of Tagging as follows:
- go to K2 backend (for ex. K2 Items)
- in the upper right corner there is "Parameters" icon, click it
- scroll down to "Advanced Settings" section
- you can choose one of two tagging systems:
1) Selection-based tagging or
2) Free tagging (with auto complete)

I'm building an online store. I'm using virtuemart, k2 and k2mart. I would like to add items in multiple categories and since k2 doesn't have this ability I tried with tags. I added tags to items and created new tag item listing under menu item. The problem is that the layout of categories using tags is different then normal categories.

 

Am I doing something wrong or that's just the way it is? How would you deal with items in multiple categories so that the layout of categories is the same for all?

My tag related links dont seem to work.

Is there an issue with the inherent SEF settings joomla and this site uses and k2 tags.

 

Searching via tag is one of the better things for me but the menu links dont seem to work, is there perhaps a cache issue.

If a tag is a number (e.g. a year like 1973 or 2009) Tag Cloud function of mod_k2_tools does not work properly.

I am looking for a FRONT-END module a bit like this.

 

It should enable site-visitors to choose a category and then give them drow-down selections for tags and other extra fields.

 

I have been searching and waiting for such a module for over a year and find it strange that it still doesn't exist. Personally I think that a system like K2 is great for building complex sites, but it is useless if you don't enable site visitors to search your site in a categorised manner.

 

Has anyone found or created a module that does just that?

Does someone know how to add *NOFOLLOW* to my TAGS in K2. The problem is that I am not using SEF URL on my website, so i am quite confused how to do that in my robotx.txt without mistake. here is a website to take a look www.webcandy.ae Or may be there is other way to fix this issue with duplicated links of tags & content?

I have the same in Firefox 3.6. Moreover every tag I type in again (same tag) is stored in the taglist in the tag manager. When I choose from the popup list, it only sets the green box with the delete cross, but not the desired tag. When I save the item, and reopen it, the tag I chose is listed as "undefined". Also in the Tag Manager list it shows up as "undefined". Any solution?

I managed to make the animation appear in a new modal window, and it's more simply, just two thing to add in the code. But I have a problem : when we call the function "chargement" at the beginning of the function "submitbutton", it's work, but if you forget to specify the category of the article or the title, the form is reloaded with the animation :/

 

 

Edit : maybe I solved the problem, the last issue I have is that in the animation pop-up, I have the cross in top-right corner (close button), I try to not display it, but for now I can't. It's annoying because if the user click on this close button, the form continue to save the article, and the user will maybe lost in all this pop-up thing...

Re-download the SVN zip from getk2.org (the one I just uploaded). The issue was indeed with the queries fetching tags. So, "mea culpa" from our side, and I'm glad we sorted this ;)

Could you locate the exact location of the italization? Where exactly does it begin in your page? Check where in your items do you have italics and see if the tag is not closed properly. This is, probably, the cause of your problem.

 

Specificaly, check this item "Naruto Movie set for 2013 release [April Fools Joke]".

I fixed it, I had to change the memory through the php.ini file. I also switched from php 4 to 5... I think that was actually what did it because when I first changed the memory it didn't work.
