Hi, i've recently enabled K2 comments on the new website i'm working on, but when i try to submit a comment i get this warning:

"The anti-spam settings for this website are not yet properly configured and comments cannot yet be published.
Please notify the site administrator :)"

I do not have google recaptcha enabled since i'm using the CleanTalk plugin, and so far it hasn't disappointed me once.
But the issue persist even if i flag recaptcha enabled.

As you can see i did some basic edits on the item_comments_form.php file in the override, such as deleting the "your website" label and input and moving "your name" and "your mail" on a single row, but i doubt this is causing any issue.

The recaptcha stopped being displayed apparently after the update to k2 2.10.3. Installing the developer version and the older version did not fix anything. According to the time of sending the last comment, it can be seen that it stopped working after April 18, 2020.

I have read this forum and some suggestion about this problem and tried but no use.
i have disabled recaptcha plugin, i disable my user profile i had checked all recaptacha keys etc. The thing is recaptcha is working on registration form but not in K2 comments and getting this error.

I do not want to disable default registration!

If you have Joomla's reCaptcha on, it will break that page. Or perhaps it's some other "user" type plugin for Joomla that's causing this.

K2 does not use Joomla's reCaptcha plugin, it has its own implementation built-in.

Check K2's settings and make sure reCaptcha v2 is selected and that your keys are up to date.

For some reason the reCaptcha V2 we've active for comments at articles stopped working. We're getting a message: "Could not connect to the reCAPTCHA service." Nothing was changed to the K2 settings. Turning off the system captcha plugin doesn't help.

Captcha returns the timeout-or-duplicate error.If I think correctly, the recaptcha v2 check is online with javascript, and if the form is sent with a button, the check will be rechecked.
Therefore, it is not necessary to call verificationRecaptcha.
In the code is error. This does not allow registration with captcha working.
Also, it is not good that all form fields are checked online, only captcha is checked after the form has been cast.

Tried disabling JCH Optimize
Tried switching to Beez3 template
Tried disabling Akeeba admin tools
Tried reverting to default htaccess file
Tried disabling com_k2 template overrides

No luck! The recaptcha keys work fine with the Joomla registration form and the core Recaptcha plugin. Why doesn't K2 just use the built in Joomla / Recaptcha plugin type?

Also seeing these errors in the console:

But I've never had to mess around with "allowing" headers from a cross-origin site on any of my other Joomla / K2 powered sites. Comments are working on those sites just fine. Strange...

The strange this is that I cannot verify this on any of our sites. Are you using v1 or v2 or reCaptcha (Check K2's settings)

Can you try disabling the e-privacy, the jch-optimize and the lazy loading (one by one) extensions?
Also which version of Recaptcha re you using?

The core recaptcha plugin from joomla does work on a contact form. The error is only the K2 form.

Oh so that's why I have this problem. and they all started when i updated k2 and joomla.
I believe I have to do the same on my website and lose the recaptcha for my contact form.

Our joomla site is using K2 for the user registration page. In the K2 settings, I had "Enable reCaptcha on registration form" set to Yes, "Use reCAPTCHA v2" set to Yes, and the public/private keys set up. With these settings, the recaptcha box would not show up on my registration form and registering would give the following error: "Empty solution not allowed"

I read in other forum post that you cannot have recaptcha enabled in both K2 and the default Joomla users plugin. So I tried turning off recaptcha in the K2 plugin by setting "Enable reCaptcha on registration form" to No. With these settings, I get the following error when trying to register: "Could not verify that you are not a robot".

What do I need to do to get this working? Turning off recaptcha in the default Joomla users plugin is not an option because my event registration component relies on it.

Thanks to an update somewhere to recaptcha V2 API, the recaptcha on my site stopped working. That was easy enough to fix with a new key.

However, now when comments are submitted, they redirect to a page that literally only shows the following line of text:

{"message":"Comment added and waiting for approval.","cssClass":"k2FormLogSuccess"}

Something in the code needs fixed, because the "Comment added and waiting for approval." bit is supposed to show up as a simply message that appears above the comment form, without taking users to a whole new page... But I'm not sure where in the code that is, or how to fix it.

I'm not too picky about how that message is shown. If it's a little popup box, or just a message within the page, whatever. I just don't want users taken to a whole new, completely useless page, or for the comment form to remain filled out after the comment has been submitted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
