Looking at the documentation for Social Login, which is based on very old versions of the API for Facebook for instance, and the fact that the last post here was almost a year ago, one has to wonder whether this has not been abandoned.

It is currently not possible to set up an app on Facebook that works with this as there is a required field that is not accounted for by Social Login: www.screencast.com/t/Du4zy7naT.

Really surprised that this is still being advertised JoomlaWorks but no one has tried to update the component in ages.
Please kindly update or formally discontinue the component.

Anyway, not to argue, I have opened another ticket requesting a refund and I look forward to this being resolved quickly.

I followed the directions in the docs and Facebook works perfectly. Facebook is the easiest to set-up. Some stuff isn't listed in the docs, but make sure everything is filled out. The part that isn't in the docs is the new Products section on FB Dev. For Facebook login always use Web OAuth Login to Yes, and the URIs is your domains. Everything else is default.

I also wondered if this was still active, as it is no longer listed on the JED.

It seems like the social networks change their APIs regularly enough that for any extension like this to work reliably it needs to be actively supported.
