I put up a site yesterday with 1.7 and k2svn

The missing pieces at this time are:

2.5svn to stable and released

SigPro - that is recognized

AllVideos working with 2.5

SigPro has been updated (the fix to get it working in 2.5 will likely be fixed in the 2.5 release

Watch the joomlaworks.gr site for the update to All video for 1.6/7

BTW, the JoomlaBamboo template and Jbzendgrid i installed  which was labeled 1.6 the files actually say 1.6/7 and the template worked on 1.7

As I understand it 1.7 is much the same as 1.6 but with tweaks and enhancements, it is supposed to be that sort of upgrade from now on rather than a big upgrade every year or so, just minor upgrades every 6 months.

Tried running J1.7 and SVN and getting a lot of unexpected behaviors ... Not at all suitable for a production site ...

Apparently , k2 is failing to handle the new revolution Joomla ...

Joomla_17 still can not overcome the K2, but Joomla_20 certainly going to manage to do it

Perhaps, K2 can reinvent itself, but needs a little humility and common sense

K2 is too focused on its main creator, and it always gives bad result

K2 is not dead yet but seems to have announced the death ...

Apparently, there is no schedule, we never know what will happen or when ... And talk about it has become taboo

Ah ah ah, Swapnil, it seems that k2 isn't available for joomla, both 1.6 and 1.7. When it will be? We are talking about this: as you can read no one know this! Sorry :(

I am looking to add k2 to a site I am creating in 1.6. I am also planning to upgrade to 1.7 when all the extensions I use are upgraded to work with 1.7.  Is there a substitue for k2 for 1.6 while we wait for the release ?  I am mostly interested in adding comments to my articles. I found components that add video, audio, and other items. I still would like to have an all in one install/unistall extension.
